Subject: DEATH POINT OF YEAST
Good film that demonstrates 2 things, how to make bread and how to make bread properly. The first half of the film shows break making techniques in the 1920s, which look like they havent changed much! After a bit of a ho-hum chemistry breakdown of bread, the film talks about what if you had less of a certain product in it, what would happen. Hmm, the bread nowadays DOES seem a bit more holey-er then ever, right?

Subject: Everything You Ever Wanted To Know
A very complete (if not "epic") film which goes through all the steps of breadmaking, in detail, probably not too long after modern methods of chemistry were employed to get consistently produced loaves. Apparently some of these steps are skipped today as judged by the number of holes one finds in a loaf of anything but Wonder Bread - which probably doesn't qualify as this type of bread anyway.

Intriguing and a useful resource for those who wish to set out making their own bread. Lots to learn here.
